Al-Hada, Taif
Al-Hada is the green, cool mountain area at the top of the famous zig-zag road that climbs from the Makkah side up to Taif, at around 2,000 metres. On the way you pass the Miqat at Wadi Muhrim.
At the top there are viewpoints, monkeys by the roadside, fruit stalls and the Al-Kar tourist village with its cable car (operating times vary). It is a favourite half-day escape from the heat of Makkah.
